Our History
J.R. Tharpe Trucking Company was established in 1971 by James and Ann Tharpe. The Tharpe family continued to operate and grow the company for the next fifty years in Virginia and expanding across the East Coast.
Today
The fleet operates over 130 trucks that provide professional contract hauling to customers in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, DC and West Virginia. We have expanded our coverage that encompasses most of the East Coast to provide more agricultural hauling and our team of experienced drivers and office staff are committed to providing the highest quality of service.
